Notarized

« Back to Glossary Index

Many legal and personal documents must be notarized. Notarization can only be done by a notary public. Having a document notarized does not necessarily mean it’s legal or correctly filled out. The notary public is simply certifying that he or she obtained verifiable documentation (such as a valid driver’s license) of the person signing the document.
